Food refurb
We all know good looking foods are good to eat, but according to FAO (food and agriculture organization) 1/3 of food waste all over the world is the foods that couldn’t sell because of devalued and expiration date passed (only few days).
The food refurb is a new trend and solutions for food waste by refurbing irregular shape and little bit out of date food. The food refurb culture started in France supermarket. On the sign of the market it says “an ugly carrot has nothing to do with the taste of your soup”. This sign started the refurb movement and it made large corporations to follow.
Because of the food refurb movement, from 2013 to 2020 the 5000tons of food waste have been saved. One can’t change the world but each can change the world. If we get used to with the think such as “it’s just me’ the world will never change to good place but adding, you on the movement can change lots of things
