Participating in GYCC2021 led me to meeting young people from all around the world who all care about combatting climate change. We shared our ideas, discussed solutions and our synergy led us to develop creative solutions that could create big changes towards zero waste. Sharing our different perspectives and cultural relevance taught me that global solutions must be tailored to local conditions, there is not "one solution fits all". We are all equal when we work together, but we have different conditions in our home countries, that must be considered. Our team worked on urban household waste, with focus on single person households, who in some countries generate twice the amount of waste as a four person household! Our solution was to create a community, supported by SNS, to inspire, motivate and guide people who live alone to develop habits towards a more sustainable household, in terms of municipal waste.
